This Makeup Artist Is Crazy Good At Lip Art

Move over nail art, there’s a new canvas in town and we’re obsessed! Lip Art is taking over Instagram and we can’t get enough of self-taught makeup artist Gianluca Biscotti’s creations.

Blending the line between lipstick and art, Gianluca’s designs are insanely good, and have even caught the eye of fashion’s favourite makeup guru Val Garland, who regrammed his lip art take on the new Instagram logo.

Currently just 17 years old, the MUA and YouTuber is already an Instagram star, having racked up well over 11,000 followers thanks to his impressive makeup snaps.

His latest lip art look, inspired by Insta’s colourful makeover, has earned him an incredible 7,889 Likes in just three days!

So what’s Gianluca got ‘going on’ over on his Instagram feed? Well, there’s plenty.

Seemingly taking inspiration from all areas of life – art, fashion, technology, emotions – there’s the purple and magenta Broken Ego lip decorated in shards of tin foil, plus a glossy versus matte ‘Not Becky a.k.a. Orangeade’ design inspired by Beyonce’s new album Lemonade.

We can’t get enough of this adorable purple design featuring two white roses, and how gorgeous is the metallic lip inspired by chiffon?

Nodding to his icons, Gianluca has created this masterpiece inspired by the work of Russian abstract painter Wassily Kandinsky – how amazing?

While we love this cute heart shaped Valentine’s Day tribute too, plus the clever black and orange take on braiding, and dreamy purple ombre lip with floating ‘clouds’ of cotton wool.

Can we wear these to work please? And every single day of our lives?

To create his designs Gianluca uses a whole host of products, including lipsticks and stains from NYX Cosmetics, Lime Crime, Mula Cosmetics, Kryolan and Caked Makeup.

There’s also plenty of eye shadow used for blending and a matte finish, liquid liner for the fine details and all kinds of props!
