When it comes to celebrity beauty routines, there’s one we are all itching to know: Kylie Jenner’s.
Over the last year she’s fast made a name for herself in the beauty industry, using her various social media channels (predominately Instagram) to share her makeup and hair tips with her millions of fans.
The star has become so influential, that when she revealed her go to MAC Lip Liner, Spice, earlier this year, it created a frenzy and led to a world wide sell out of the shade.
Her beauty website is set to launch in autumn, which will offer makeup tutorials and advice to fans eager to achieve Kylies signature glam look. And she hasn’t stopped there; a week ago she hinted at plans to release a Lip Kit in an Instagram snap.
In a recent interview with The New York Times, she shed light on her beauty regime, so us mere mortals can finally get our hands on all of her everyday products (yay!).
Her approach to skincare is pretty laid back, although she revealed she wears sun cream everyday: “Khloe Taught me to wear sunscreen. I use one but Tiz03. It doesn’t really smell like sunscreen, which I like, and it’s tinted. If I wake up in the morning and have to run somewhere, I’ll just put that on solo.”
She swears by Kiehl’s Avocado Eye Treatment, £33, and a moisturiser by American brand Super Salve. “I use this all-natural moisturizer called Mimosa Blossom Dream Cream. I have sensitive skin and it’s super dry, so a lot of stuff irritates me.”
When it comes to makeup the products list is far more extensive, but surprisingly, she claims she isn’t a lover of wearing lots of makeup because she doesn’t think it suits her.

“If I’m going to see people, I won’t wear heavy makeup. It’s not attractive on me. When you see those pictures on my Instagram, they are usually for when I’m doing a photo shoot or an interview. Every time I get my makeup professionally done, I take a photo,” she said.
Hmm, while we find that a tad hard to believe, Kylie goes on to list what’s in her makeup bag and the good news is you can buy most of it in the UK.
Her go-to foundation? “Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation, £32. You can still see my skin through it. Then I use Nars Orgasm blush, £23. Mascara, I’ve been using Lancôme Hypnôse Drama, £22.50.”
A self declared queen of contour, she swears by an Anastasia Beverly Hills kit to ace her angles. “Anastasia Beverly Hills has this contour kit, £39, that’s just easy, and everything is there,” she said. “I really love the Anastasia concealer. I like my concealer to have a bit of pink in it because it brightens the area up.”
She uses the Kardashian bronzer, and applies it to the hollow of her cheekbones, sides of her head, her nose ad under her chin. For powder it’s Bobbi Brown: “I use the yellow powder, £26, that they have. I like yellow because it cancels out any red, and it works really well with my spray tan color.”
It turns out she is a fan of strobing, the latest beauty trend to have gone viral, dubbed the new contouring. “If I do amp it up, I usually go for a lot of illuminator. I love to be super shiny, like that strobing trend that’s happening on Instagram. Anastasia has an awesome highlighter. I love the gold one.”
She doesn’t like perfumes, because she says they give her a headache, but uses the Victoria’s Secret Passion spray, £14.99, on occasion. When it comes to her hair she said: “I used to wash my hair every day, then people told me that wasn’t good for your hair, so now I try for every other day. I like the Moroccanoil Shampoo, £18.45, and Conditioner, £17.25.”
Known for being experimental with locks, she admitted her adventurous styles and colours have taken their toll. “ I used to have really thick hair with a lot of body, but not anymore. About a year and a half ago, I cut it off, and then I kept bleaching it and dying it blue, so that damaged it a bit. Then on my 17th birthday, I shaved half my head, so my underneath is still growing back. It’s still only 50 percent there.”
Since coming clean about getting her lips done a few months ago, she even goes on to talk about which fillers she uses. “I still do Juvéderm for my lips. I go to Dr. Ourian in Beverly Hills. He’s the best, and he’s super natural about it. I was going to somebody before, and it was just looking crazy. I would recommend that anyone who gets it done go for a filler that lasts only two to four months. It’s annoying to keep going back, but you have the option of stopping it.”
