The nude lip is one that will never go out of fashion, and works brilliantly with a strong eye. So, what’s Kylie’s preferred method?
‘Start by applying a conditioner or primer to moisturise your lips and prevent them from looking dry or cracked. It will also help your colour last longer!’ the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star explains on a new post on her her website. Kylie recommends Too Faced Lip Insurance Lip Primer (£14.50) for the job.
Next, Kylie recommends using her favourite pre-lipstick staple – concealer. ‘Another important trick to maintain a long-lasting lip color is concealer! Just like with the primer/conditioner, apply a concealer all over the surface of your lips’, she writes.

Whilst you might be suddenly remembering that time in the ’90s when it was cool to slather your Collection 2000 concealer all over your lips, this is different. Just a little dab of a good quality concealer will perfectly prep your lips for a nude look.
Next, Jenner shares her unusual trick for applying lip liner.
‘Apply liner to define your lip’s shape’, she continues. ‘Make sure to first sharpen the pencil and then run it on your palm to blunt the tip (this will make the line smoother). Remember, liner should enhance the lip’s natural shape… not exaggerate it!’

Blunting the tip after sharpening? Yep, it actually works. And who wouldn’t listen to advice from showbiz’s most famous pout, eh? For this step, Kylie recommends BECCA Nude Liner Plump & Define Lip Pencil.
Now, for the final task. ‘If a matte finish isn’t your thing, polish off the look with a gloss!’ Kylie says. ‘You can go with a clear or a nude that is slightly darker than your own skin tone.’ Too Faced Melted Lipstick (£19) will do the trick, says Jenner.
And there you have it! The perfect nude lip. ‘It’s a subtle (and classic) look that works with just about any skin tone or hair colour’, says Kylie. ‘And it especially complements a bold eye!’
