Kendall Jenner Blue Smokey Eye Tutorial

How To: Kendall Jenner’s Blue Smokey Eye

Wanna recreate Kendall Jenner's blue smokey eye at home? LOOK's Beauty Editor Lydia Thompson shows you how as part of our #MadeYouLook series...

Kendall Jenner’s makeup always looks ah-mazing. But it’s the Blue Smokey Eye she debuted at the Diane Von Furstenberg’s SS16 show that we seriously can’t get enough of.

Paired with mega 70s waves and lashings of mascara, Kenny’s two-tone shimmery blue eyeshadow is all kinds of mermaid makeup goals. (Is that a thing? We’re saying yes.)

But if you’re a bit of a makeup novice, here LOOK’s Beauty Editor and makeup whizz Lydia Thompson gives us the breakdown of how to get the look:

“As we move towards a new season, reflection has set in and we’re asking ourselves what was THE look of SS16? Kendall’s mermaid eyes backstage at DVF has to top the lot. Paired with her dewy blush and balmy lips it was a winning combo. Here’s how to do it and make it work at home!” – Lydia Thompson, LOOK’s Beauty Editor

How to make Kendall’s blue smokey eye work IRL

1. Create a thick rim of metallic aquamarine eyeliner on the lower and upper lash line by using Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in Top Secret, £19

2. Add extra dimension by applying Nars Dual-Intenstiy Eyeshadow in Arturus, £21 to your lids. Blend the shadow out into a soft feline shaped flick. Then add black to the water line for extra intensity and… in the words of Pat Mcgrath, finish the look with “TONS” of mascara. Amen to that, babes.

3. Get Kendall’s dewy blush by using M&S’ Autograph Pure Luxe Multi-Blusher in Soft Coral, £12.50 on your cheeks. It has a gorgeous shimmer to it and so you don’t need to apply a highlighter.

4. Finish by adding a dab of lip balm to keep lips looking glossy. We love M&Co’s Berry Pucker Lip Balm, £5… mainly because it tastes incred, is a bargain and well erm look at it!

The verdict? “Out-out approved”
