For any of you wanting to get that body you’ll be disappointed to hear that there are no quick fixes – Kate’s incredible figure is the result of a LOT of hard work and healthy eating.
The actress is so passionate about health and fitness that she has written all about her lifestyle in a new book, Pretty Happy.
The book tells us all how we can incorporate a bit of Kate’s lifestyle into our daily routines, and here are some of the rules she follows…
Always Eat Breakfast
While Kate isn’t a particularly fan of breakfast she makes sure to eat something in the morning to kick-start her metabolism. “I’m not one of those people who wakes up hungry…I realize that when I do [have breakfast], I eat less during the day or late at night,” she said. According to her book she likes to start the day with coffee and a green juice, and then has a protein shake after her workout.
Stick To An Alkaline Regime
She outlines in the book that she tries to eat 60%-80% of the time purely Alkaline. This is a pretty strict regime that means for the majority of the time she avoids meat, sugar, gluten and diary. Blimey. So, what does she eat? Well a plant based diet consisting mainly of tofu, nuts, fruits and vegetables.
Eat 5 Small Meals A Day
After her post-workout shake Kate tends to opt for a salad for lunch followed by a snack mid afternoon and then a light dinner.
You Can’t Be Perfect All The Time
Kate said: “If I want to go out and eat at a restaurant with amazing food, I’ll do that, like, once a week where I’m not thinking about it. I want to indulge! I want to do things that are not healthy sometimes.” Here, here to that!
