The tattooed beauty obsessive spotted a palette by London-based beauty brand Make Up Revolution and was bowled over by the similarities to her own super popular palette. And when we say ‘bowled over’ we really mean monumentally p***** off.

Kat took to Instagram to vent her fury, telling her 5.7 million followers exactly how she felt about supposed ‘dupe’…

“Hey @makeuprevolution – I don’t remember the tails being this heavy when I first got this coat. #cheapass #bootleg #comeupwithyourownshit #lazyf***s #morelikemakeupripoff “

The palettes DO look similar, with the same amount of shadows in a same-y layout. Even the names are alike…

Kat Von D vented her frustration on Instagram

Kat was so angry she even made a video about the ‘copycat’ situation.

The majority of her followers have been super supported, echoing Kat’s feelings, but some have expressed regret over the way she has handled things.

Here’s a couple of examples…

PRO Kat Rant

“I totally get the frustration on her end, instead of using her palette as inspiration and coming up with something more unique, they placed very similar shades in a similar layout, packaging, and basically have an identical name. Designers put a lot of work into the products and the creative process, so I get where the hurt is coming from. Still gonna support kat von d.”

ANTI Kat Rant

“Damn Kat you handled this situation like a child, pouting your lips and stomping your feet … so sad. So what, some smaller company used your palette as inspiration at a lower price point so others can get a sense of what it’s like… you’re still a millionaire living in luxury… no one is feeling sorry for you.”

Hmm… it’s a tricky one. What do YOU think?
