When asked about how well she know’s her a-list clients, Jen explained the importance of being “a vault” and would never dish any goss on her famous friends. Not even to her husband! “You have to put yourself in their shoes–being followed all day by cameras is very hard, and trusting people with any detail of your life becomes really stressful. I don’t want to add to that, and so I’m a closed vault. You can ask me a million things about a celebrity. I’ll know all of them. But I’ll never tell. Just ask my husband.”
But she did dish on the hair advice she gives her celeb clients, and some of it may surprise you!
Gorgeous hair doesn’t have to cost the earth:
Jen explained that when it comes to splurging on expensive products you can get away with saving on things like shampoo and mousse. “Clients with oily hair can use drugstore shampoo easily. With conditioners and hair tools, it’s best to spend the money.”
So save your pennies and give pricey shampoos a miss in favouring of investing in a really good conditioner. Here on the LOOK Beauty Desk we love TIGI’s S Factor Serious Conditioner, £15.40, and you can read why here.
Cut your hair (WAY) less:
Yes really! Forget everything you thought you knew about regular trims, because Jen says you could be wasting your time (and money). “People say cut your hair every eight weeks? No. Go every four months. You’ll be surprised; your hair might be so much easier. So cut back on spending money in a salon, and start with good conditioner and good tools” says Jen. Well that’s awesome news for our purse strings!

The secret to perfect ‘plane hair’:
Ever wondered how all those celebs step off a long haul flight looking red-carpet-ready? Us too. Jen revealed the secret “If you are single, you must, for sure, have great hair before you get on a plane. Do you know how many of my friends have met guys at the airport? So before you leave for the airport, get a blowout.” If you are flying long haul and are planning to catch some zzz’s on the plane, Jen’s no1 rule is to take a soft scrunchie. “It won’t dent hair, I put it up in a high top knot. When you take it down in the morning, it’ll still look full.” So that’s how the a-lister’s plane-proof their bouncy blow dries!
