Hairstyle How-To Video: Effortless Undone Waves

Effortless un-done waves, is the hair look we all want. Short, long, straight or curly, whatever hair you have, getting it to look like you’ve just stepped off of the catwalk for Alberta Ferretti or Desigual is the dream. Right, ladies? So on our most recent beauty shoot we created a really easy how-to video to show you just how to get this simple, but gorgeous hair look at home. You don’t need to spend hours in front of the mirror, you don’t need to a master with your hair tongs, you just need to listen closely and follow the steps.

The best thing about this hair look is it works on any hair length, if you’ve got shorter hair work with a wand that has a slightly slimmer barrel. And if you’ve got curlier hair start by prepping hair with a smoothing treatment mask, we recommend MoroccanOil Intense Hydrating Mask, £24.75. Leave it on for just 10 minutes blow dry your hair straight, and then start with the steps in the video.

If your hair is prone to breakage and you want to protect it, always start with a heat protecting mist, our favourite is Tresemme Heat Defence Styling Spray, £5.25. It’ll protect each strand so that when you apply the heat of the tongs your hair wont fade in colour or become weak and seriously dry and damaged.

Before you start make sure you’ve got all the right tools. We used a waving wand, a touch of hairspray and a little bit of shine boosting wax to give the hair hold and amazing shine.

Babyliss Boutique Salon Soft Waves Hair Wand, £30

L’Oreal Paris Elnett Normal Strength Hairspray, £6.70

L’Oreal Paris Studio Line Special FX Architect Wax, £3.20

So there you have it, your tool kit, your how-to and now you’re set. Gorgeous un-done effortless waves…easy!
