Gigi Hadid at the CFDA Awarads

Get Gigi Hadid’s Gorgeous Glowing Complexion

Amongst the many stunning celebrities who attended the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) Awards last night, there was one who, in my opinion, stood out from the rest: Gigi Hadid.
For starters, it must be said, that a sparkling gold flared jumpsuit should, in all forms of reality, look awful. But, truth be told – I’ve never wanted to go out and purchase one more!

But it’s not just Gigi’s slimline shimmering jump suit that we’ve all been crushing on. Her flawless bronzed complexion and bouncy beach waves are a match made in beauty heaven.

To get that ethereal glow – one that looks like it’s really come from within, you need to start at the top: skincare. One of the ways to nail this look is by taking the less-is-more makeup approach, and to do this, you need your skin to be in tiptop condition. GlamGlow’s Supercleanse Daily Clearing Cleanser, £29, comes out as a black, thick, gloopy mud, but upon contact with water transforms into a light foam. It really gets deep into your pores, dissolving impurities and leaves you with picture perfect skin and refined pores.

Glow getting essentials
Ready, steady, glow!

Hydration is key to getting a dewy complexion, so pick a water based primer over a mattifying one. Stila’s Aqua Glow Perfecting Primer, £20, is like a plunge pool for the skin; the cooling formula is a refreshing complexion pick me up, which works to shrink pores, reduce redness and leave the skin velvety smooth.

bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating gel Cream, £26, is a total wonder product if you’re after a radiant glow. Forgo your foundation and apply using your fingertips all over, gently buffing into the skin; it’s hands down my favourite formula and always gives my skin instant radiance.

Use a pump or two of Studio 10’s Youth Lift Glow-Plexion, £24; It contains light-reflecting particles and works like liquid light for the skin. You can apply this with a brush or using your fingers, it’s totally up to you, but I tend to work a bit into my fingers, patting into my skin along the tops of cheekbones, jawline, and down the center of my nose. It instantly brightens lackluster skin and will leave you with a natural sheen.

Other tips for nailing supermodel skin: stick to matte makeup textures and use a cream blush and liquid bronzer for a softer finish.
