Fringe Benefits

Our favourite celebs are all sporting a chic new hairdo!
When Keira Knightley appeared at Karl Lagerfelds haute couture show in Paris sporting a thick, eyelash-skimming fringe and glossy chestnut tresses, we knew a trend had been born! Across the pond Jessica Alba has had her locks chopped into a long bob with a very similar fringe to Keiras and, again, that rich nut-brown shade which is shaping up to be the hair colour of the season. This soft, feminine style is perfectly in keeping with the romantic, retro look of the spring collections. You can wear your hair down and use product to enhance any natural curl or wave, or tie it up in a fifties-style ponytail for a fun, flirty look perfect with prom dresses or boyfriend jeans and a checked shirt! But if your style tends towards the more rock n roll, feisty girls Lily Allen and Daisy Lowe should be your hair heroines both have long, sexy fringes and rock chick manes worthy of imitation. This year, after trying out various hairstyles and colours (including short, blonde, pink and curly!) Lily Allen returned to her original and best look and has been showing off super-shiny long dark hair and a poker-straight fringe. Time to go for the chop girls and get yourself a fab new fringe!
