Estee Lauder iMatch Service

Being the beauty buffs that we are, it never even crossed our minds that we were wearing the wrong foundation. So when we got an invitation from Estée Lauder to try out their iMatch service last week, we relished the challenge to be proved wrong (turns out, we were – oops!). iMatch is a service that every Estée Lauder counter offers to anyone who wants to know exactly what foundation they should be wearing and here's the best part, it doesn't cost a thing! They started by asking us all about our skin type, what coverage we wanted from a foundation, what sort of finish we liked and even our skincare regime – phew! Then it was time for the chart. The clever people at Estée Lauder have developed a totally unique face chart that assesses your skintone and type and matches you with your perfect partner (in the make-up sense of the word!) Needless to say, we were way out and when they applied the foundation that the iMatch had chosen for us, the difference was jaw-dropping. So, having skipped off with a free sample and tried it for a few days, we have to admit they were right. We'll be going back to buy the full-size version over the Easter weekend. If only they could match us with the perfect man so easily! JH
