Diane Kruger Reveals Her Beauty Secrets

As well as impeccable sartorial skills, Diane Kruger is also known for her effortlessly chic beauty look. Always wondered how the German actress manages to looks so fresh faced? Well, you’re in luck. In an interview with The New York Times, the star has disclosed the contents of her bathroom cabinet, and we’ve rounded up the best bits.

She’s a fan of the French Pharmacy

Kruger washes her face with Uriage Cleansing Mousse, a product she’s been devoted to for the past 5 years.

Her attitude to skincare is LA meets Europe

She favours Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Toner and Chanel Hydra Beauty Serum, and since living in LA she  “always wears sunscreen”. Her sunscreen of choice? Chanel SPF 50, of course.

Her base is basic

In her makeup you’ll always find the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, the Chanel Vitalumière Aqua and the Cle de Peau Concealer.

Flawless skin, as always

Her desert island product would be an eyebrow pencil

“I always do a brow, even during the day. I use an ash color pencil by Chanel”.

When it comes to eye makeup, she prefers brown to black

“For night, I don’t like black on my eyes, but I’ll usually do a dark brown liner, like a cat-eye.”

For going out-out she wears a red lip

Mac Ruby Woo is her first choice, natch.

She is not fickle when it comes to fragrance

Kruger’s in a long-term relationship with her Calvin Klein Beauty, they’ve been going strong for the past six years.

She has hairstylists on both sides of the Atlantic

“For cuts and color, I have someone in Paris, David Mallett, and someone in L.A., Vanessa Spaeth, who is a freelancer and is really good with blondes.”

For hair styling, it’s all about the Kardashian’s fave line

Kruger is loyal to Jen Atkin’s line, Ouai.

She’s well and truly gym-obsessed

“I eat everything in moderation — I don’t like junk food anyway — but I do exercise a lot. I’m probably overdoing it. I used to be a ballet dancer, but then for years I didn’t work out…But now that I’m exercising, I can’t just go two or three times a week. Suddenly it’s working out every day for an hour and a half.”
