Move over winged liner, there’s a new girl in town.
Yesterday’s Chanel Haute Couture Spring Summer 2016 Catwalk was the place to be to see this new look in all it’s super glam glory.
With the likes of Kendall Jenner, Bella and Gigi Hadid and catwalk regular Edie Campbell all sporting the new style alongside their glamorous Chanel gowns, it was hard to miss. The egyptian inspired look is the next step in liner innovation keeping things fresh and cool whilst still inhabiting all of winged liner lover’s favourite qualities such as making your eyes look bigger and ultra feminine.
Whilst on the catwalk the liner was paired with flowing gowns and chic capes but we think the winged look would be just as show stopping paired with a red lippy and a more laid back outfit. In fact it’s a way to feel more glam even if you haven’t had much time to think about your outfit that morning (we all know the feeling).
As demonstrated yesterday the look incorporates a long line across the base of the eye along the waterline as well as a complimenting line on the lid, from the inner corner of the eye, across the crease and out into a wing. Alas, don’t be scared by this ultra dramatic look, it can be dressed up or down to fit nicely into your comfort zone.
Simply shorten the length of the two outer wings so they stay closer to your eye than your temple, or try experimenting with different liner thickness. If you’re feeling super adventurous you could even jazz the look up with a different colour liner adding a colourful pop to your outfit.
However you want to make the look your own, it’s certainly not one to be avoided, we’re loving it and we’ve recommended the best liners for you to give it a try!
