The Kardashian/Jenner family are known for their immaculate make-up – and Caitlyn Jenner is no exception.
In fact, the 65-year-old has become quite the beauty icon over the past few months (we can totally see why).
Now she’s revealed exactly how much her skin has changed since she transitioned earlier this year.
‘I had, back in the 80s, my beard removed. Which actually a took a lot of volume out of this [chin] area, so it’s kind of been a little bit potholey,’ says Caitlyn in a WhoSay video.
‘That has gotten better over the years, which is a good thing.
‘By the way, I never had a make-up artist. I always did my own make-up until I started shooting this show. I have [make-up artist] Kip Zachary do it now because, you know, it’s television, you want to look good.
‘I primarily use MAC products. I think they do a great job, I love their coverage. And it’s been a lot of fun for me to learn the make-up and how it works.’
Caitlyn’s make-up artist has also spilled all about Caitlyn’s style, her beauty icons and her favourite products.
Kip has been working with Caitlyn since she started filming her reality show I Am Cait. He decided pretty early on that the Olympic gold medallist should channel a supermodel, natch.
‘I started researching brunettes, and I kept going back to Cindy Crawford. That’s where I wanted to go with her look. When you look at pictures of Crawford, she always looks perfect, never overdone,’ Kip tells Allure.

Before Caitlyn made her debut on the cover of Vanity Fair, she was known as Kardashian patriarch Bruce Jenner. Poignantly, Kip wanted to ensure that the story of her transition wasn’t overshadowed by a severe make-up style.
‘When we first started filming I Am Cait, I knew the entire world was going to be watching. For the first time in my life, I didn’t want people talking about her make-up; I wanted them to be talking about her message,’ he explains.
‘I didn’t want colors or shapes that would distract from the words coming out of her mouth, so it was all about classic, clean make-up. Now we get to have a lot more fun with make-up.’
It sounds like Caitlyn is also getting much more experimental herself.
‘About a month into the show, she’d drop these little hints that she loved eyeliner, so we started playing around with all types of liner,’ says Kip.
‘We experimented one day with putting kohl pencil in her waterline and then smudged it and blended it with bronze shadow. She loved it.
‘We really started playing with trends in New York, since that was the first time she was going to be in public settings – going to dinners with friends and socialising.’
Caitlyn is clearly quite a fan of her famous stepdaughters’ styles. She’s worked many a Kim Kardashian-inspired midi and has even admitted to raiding both Kim and ex-wife Kris Jenner’s wardrobes. Sneaky.
But there’s one Kardashian look Cait WON’T be copying – contouring. Yep. Despite it being one of the brood’s favourite tricks, she’s not following in their footsteps.
‘Strobing was something we had to try. We love popping highlighter on her cheeks. She has the most amazing cheekbones that don’t require contouring at all,’ says Kip.
We hope Kim isn’t too envious…
