This really is an urban retreat, based in the heart of Piccadilly you are moments for the non-stop bustling life of London, but it’s easy to forget that when you step into the Akasha Spa at Hotel Cafe Royal. The 60ft pool, sauna and jacuzzi work a treat for washing any stress. I went for a hot stones massage, and it was just the treat I needed to help cleanse away any tension I had, whilst boosting my circulation and leaving my skin bright, glowing and healthy. Followed by the BEST manicure i’ve ever had, seriously it stayed chip-free for weeks, the Akasha spa is my new favourite post-work pick-me-up.

Living in a hectic city like London with its non-stop sirens and bustling crowds of tourists can make it tricky to switch off and relax. But the second I stepped into the spa at Westminster’s Park Plaza Hotel, it was like being transported into super serene world. I started my pamper day with a glass of fizz in the relaxation room – think loungers, calming music and champagne on tap – aka heaven! Next it was time for an Elemis Tranquility Massage, my therapist used hot stones to soothe away stress and aches. She then gave me an anti-aging facial that left my skin, plumped and glowing.
