We’re always telling you to wear daily moisturiser with SPF to keep your skin protected from those wrinkle-producing rays but now the sun’s out it’s an even bigger reminder that you need to stay safe and use sunscreen. Forget those heavy gloopy white-tinted creams your mum used to smear all over your face, the new SPF-filled fluids, serums and moisturisers sink into skin sharpish so you can pop your makeup on top straight away – job’s a good’un! Here’s our four favourite secret SPFs which are at the top of the face creams with SPF game…
La Roche Posay Anthelios BB Tinted Comfort Cream SPF50+, £16.50, is what we call clever! Containing a special photostabilising oil that basically bats off damaging UVA and UVB rays for six hours, the hint of tint means you’re covered from every angle.
Bioderma Photoderm Mineral SPF 50+, £13.80, is a favourite amongst Bioderma’s amazing sun protection range. A nifty spray, it’s made from 100% mineral ingredients so even if you’ve got super sensitive skin it won’t cause a reaction. Plus it’s less clogging and full of antioxidants too. Amaze.
Kiehl’s Ultra Light Daily Defense SPF 50, £31, is oil free and light as a feather so your skin feels like it’s got nothing on it at all, let alone a hefty SPF50 coverage. It also means it’s great if you’ve got greasy or spot-prone skin or you’re worried about your foundation sliding off post SPF application.
Clinique City Block Sheer SPF25, £18, is our ultimate SPF essential. Squirt some into your hands then slap it on – you don’t even need a mirror – and it’s a-ok to use on eyelids. A must for outdoor workout sessions, weekend bike rides and pilates in the park. In fact, there’s no occasion this isn’t appropriate for.
The Body Shop Vitamin C Daily Moisturiser SPF 30, our prayers have been answered with this vitamin and SPF enriched formula. Not only does this cream smell gorgeous but it works away at enhancing our skin's natural radiance. What's more it leaves you looking glowing and radiant.
