Beauty Tried And Tested: The Best Blue Eyeshadows
Don't want to spend your hard-earned cash on a lacklustre product? Then LOOK's very own Beauty Editor Sophie Beresiner and LOOK reader Sarah Wright are here to help, as they've searched the high street to put four electric blue eyeshadows to the test...
Beauty Editor: Loose powder can be a little tricky to apply but it’s great for building up to a really bold colour. Create a sultry feline eye by flicking it out at the edges. Sarah: I liked the slightly lighter tone of this shadow. It looked really pretty the more it wore in and I was still sporting it at 6pm after a whole day at work. Beauty Score: 4/5
- Shu Uemura Pressed Eye Shadow in Me Blue, £14.50
Beauty Editor: They don’t get any more intense than this metallic shade! Your go-to shadow for creating a sexy smoky eye for an ultra-sophisticated look.
Sarah: I loved the texture of this one. Not too dry and didn’t crease like other shadows can. Also, I could apply a light layer and wear it in the daytime too. Beauty Score: 5/5
- MAC Eye Shadow in Atlantic Blue, £11
Beauty Editor: It takes a good few layers for this shadow to make it really pop but once it’s on, it’s virtually budge-proof and the matte finish makes it bang on trend.
Sarah: I used this like an eyeliner, which made it more suitable for the daytime. It really made my eyes stand out and looked great with a couple of coats of mascara. Beauty Score: 3/5
- Stargazer Glitter Eye Dust in 102, £3
Beauty Editor: Wow. This one’s your party shadow. High in pigment and full of glitter – wall flowers need not apply! Keep it for the evening though, it’s a bit much for the office!
Sarah: I found this really messy to apply and when I first opened it, it went everywhere. However, it was a really fun, bold colour that I would definitely wear on a night out. Beauty Score: 2/5
