Beauty Tried And Tested: Skin Capsules
Need to know what the best beauty products to buy are? LOOK's Beauty Editor, Sophie Beresiner and LOOK reader, Ilanit Slowly, have put the latest skin capsules to the test...
- Trilogy CoQ10 Booster Capsules, £24
Beauty Editor: I had to use scissors to cut these, which was annoying. The oil made my skin super smooth but mega greasy. Best for very dry skin. Ilanit: These had the best fragrance of the bunch but were a bit too oily for me. I applied one before bed and my face was still shiny in the morning. Beauty Score: 2/5
Beauty Editor: These transformed my skin overnight and I couldn’t believe how even my skintone was. I only needed half a pod each time so the sixty capsules will last me ages! Ilanit: I found the capsules tricky to twist open at first and I didn’t need a whole one each time. I was worried my skin would be left greasy but it absorbed quickly and felt very light. Beauty Score: 4/5
Beauty Editor: This smelt so luxurious that I felt like I was having a spa treatment. The next morning, my skin was glowing and looked much more even. Ilanit: The smell of the essential oils was rather potent but they really boosted the appearance of my skin and I didn’t need to use any moisturiser the next day. Beauty Score: 5/5
Beauty Editor: I found the smell quite synthetic and although my skin was moisturised, I didn’t notice any visible brightening. Non–greasy, so good for all skin types. Ilanit: I was very surprised that this was a balm rather than oil. My skin absorbed it immediately and was left feeling velvety but with no real difference in tone. Beauty Score: 3/5
