Beauty Tried And Tested: Detangling Conditioners
Want to know what the best beauty products are before you buy? LOOK is here to help... this week our very own Beauty Editor Sophie Beresiner and LOOK reader Faye Smitth have put detangling conditioners to the test...
Beauty Editor: You can tell this is a salon professional product because it really got to grips with the knots and left my hair super-silky. It looked a little greasy the next day, though. Faye: A lightweight cream that completely smoothed my hair right to the tips, but left it so silky that it wouldn’t hold any style! Beauty Score 4/5
Beauty Editor: This was a great at improving the strength of my hair, which broke off much less when brushing. For serious tangles though, use a weekly treatment. Faye: This was really thick and even though I have short hair, I found I had to use a fair bit. It smelt delicious but I still had quite a few tangles. Beauty Score 2/5
- Schwarzkopf Professional BC Volume Boost Detangler £9.85
Beauty Editor: Dishevelled hair looks so sexy, but it’s a full-time job to keep it knot-free. This lotion really worked, leaving my locks smooth. Faye: This got rid of most of my knots without any trouble. It left my hair smelling gorgeous and feeling softer than ever. Beauty Score 5/5
- Rusk Sensories Calm Cream Detangler £10.99
Beauty Editor: After a week of using this, my hair looked smoother and had less flyaways. Also, I didn’t have to pull as much when brushing my hair. Faye: I found this left my hair soft but not entirely tangle-free. It’s a good everyday conditioner though, so I’d use it again. Beauty Score 3/5
